Cannes Lions anuncia os membros do júri da edição 2018

21 de maio de 2018 – O Estadão, representante oficial do Cannes Lions Festival Internacional de Criatividade, anuncia que foram divulgados hoje os 413 membros do júri escolhidos para premiar e celebrar o melhor trabalho criativo de todo o mundo.

Os júris deste ano são formados por indivíduos de 50 países, incluindo pela primeira vez representantes da Geórgia, Nigéria, Quênia e Sri Lanka. Em busca constante de um mix mais diversificado dentro da sala do júri, este ano 46% de membros são mulheres, bem como apresenta um mix mais amplo de agências de criação, marcas, proprietários de mídia e empresas de produção.

“O trabalho do júri do Cannes Lions é atuar como guardião da criatividade e celebrar o trabalho que demonstra o valor da criatividade em todas as suas formas. Temos o compromisso de garantir que nossos jurados incluam uma gama diversificada de pessoas de todo o ecossistema de comunicações da marca”, afirma José Papa, diretor geral do Cannes Lions.

Na última edição, o Festival anunciou novas categorias Lions com a introdução de uma nova arquitetura de prêmios para melhor refletir e apoiar as indústrias criativas que se movem rapidamente. Esses Lions incluem: Creative eCommerce Lions, Brand Experience & Activation Lions, Social & Influencer Lions, Sustainable Development Goals Lions e o Industry Craft Lions. Uma redução geral no número de categorias dentro de Lions individuais refinou o foco, enquanto novas categorias foram introduzidas para refletir como as empresas criativas estão operando.

“O Cannes Lions está agora no seu 65º ano e, nesse período, o setor e as organizações que operam nele mudaram drasticamente. Esses novos Lions especializados exigem uma gama mais ampla de habilidades e experiências que ajudarão a expandir nossas perspectivas de excelência criativa”, explica Terry Savage, Chairman do Cannes Lions. “Os Lions estão em constante evolução, assim com a indústria, e nossos membro do júri são fundamentais para garantir que mantemos a criatividade no centro daquilo que fazemos”.

Os prêmios do Cannes Lions 2018 serão apresentados em cerimônias que ocorrem todas as noites durante o Festival, de 18 a 22 de junho.
